The thirteenth call for entries for the International Medis Awards for Medical Research is now open. The Awards recognize outstanding scientific achievements in medicine and pharmacy across 11 countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

Researchers from nine medical and pharmaceutical fields who have published original work in reputable international journals are invited to apply. Applications are open until 31 October 2026 via International Medis Awards website.

Who can apply

Eligible applicants are doctors and pharmacists working in the following fields: dermatology, gynecology, intensive care medicine and anesthesiology, neurology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, pharmacy, pulmonology and allergology, and rheumatology.

Researchers from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia are eligible to participate.

Submitted research must be published in an international scientific journal with an Impact Factor above 1.500 between 1 October 2025 and 31 October 2026.
 

Timeline

Applications must be submitted in English via the online form by 31 October 2026. The award ceremony will take place in March 2027.
