The International Scientific Committee of the International Medis Awards for Medical Research reviewed 243 scientific research papers submitted from 11 countries. Of these, 196 met the eligibility criteria and were nominated for the Awards. Following a thorough evaluation, the Committee selected 18 finalists, with two finalists in each scientific field. The winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on 12 March 2026 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Doctors and pharmacists who have published their scientific research contributions in reputable scientific publications with an impact factor higher than 1.500 were eligible to take part in the International Medis Awards. This time, 243 research articles from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia were submitted. Among them, 196 applications met all high criteria for their authors to become nominees of the International Medis Awards. 

The awards ceremony will take place on 12 March 2026 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
