The 12th International Medis Awards for Medical Research (IMA) has attracted strong interest, with organizers confirming a total of 246 submitted entries. In the coming weeks, the International Scientific Committee will thoroughly review all submissions to verify that they meet the required criteria for nomination.

Following this evaluation process, the Committee will select two finalists in each research field. The official list of finalists is expected to be announced in January 2026, while the winners of the 12th IMA will be revealed at the Awards Ceremony scheduled for March 2026.

Eligible participants include doctors and pharmacists from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, and Slovenia. This year’s awards cover nine scientific fields: dermatology, gynecology, intensive care medicine and anesthesiology, neurology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, pharmacy, pulmonology and allergology, and rheumatology.
