How in patients with COPD discover the early forms of arteriosclerosis and thus potentially spare them the most frequent cardiovascular diseases, was established by pulmonologist Renáta Marietta Böcskei, MD, MSc, from the Szent Borbála Hospital in Tatabánya.

Research is a very important part of my life. I would like to bring new techniques to the clinical practice in order to decrease the time until the diagnosis is made. It might give higher quality of life to our patients as well. The International Medis Awards are a great initiative for researchers and the award itself could give positive feedback and confirm that our work is important not just for our patients, but also for the clinical profession. As clinical research is a team work, it could definitely energize my colleagues and drive us to work on new clinical researches which could bring positive results to our patients.
