Amra Šakušić, MD, PhD, from the Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, is aware that we all make mistakes, even doctors. She studied the role of doctors in occurrence of cognitive disorders in patients in the intensive care and therapy units, and defined the measures with which the doctors can significantly reduce the level of these disorders.

Being an International Medis Awards finalist makes my heart skip a beat. It is like living my dreams… It gives me strength, hope and motivation to work and stretch myself beyond my limits. At the end of the day, we all have to work hard to build our wings if we want to fly.
